In the Chinese system of writing, when another ‘wood’ is added to one ‘wood’, the word signifies ‘forest’. If you add another ‘wood’ on top of ‘forest’, it becomes ‘deep forest’.
In the case of the word ‘book’, a stroke is applied to the bottom of the stem of ‘wood’ to represent the logging of trees to make books. And when ‘tree tops’ are cut with a stroke applied on top, it symbolizes the end of the world…
A-Z prototypes is an assessment in which 26 objects were chosen to represent all the letters in the English alphabetical system in a random way. Designating various utensils for the vowels ‘AEIOU’ was the only deliberate choice made since they are alphabets that are most frequently used in the system.
Employing these 7 rules of arrangement, words are spelt using the objects marked A-Z, and then arranged according to individual interpretation of the meaning behind each word.
